I received my Ph.D. in space physics from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in April 2000. My thesis adviser was Professor Cynthia Cattell. The title of my thesis was "FAST, Geotail and Polar Correlative Studies of Low-Frequency Waves and Magnetosphere-Ionosphere Coupling."

I was a volunteer at at the Science Museum of Minnesota from 1995-1997. I have worked in "Backyard Monsters," "Special Effects 2" and "Liquid Vision," an exhibit about lasers, holograms and virtual reality. I have also worked in the museum's Experiment Gallery assisting visitors with cool physics and chemistry activities.

From October to December 1995, I worked as an Exhibit Interpreter for "Special Effects 2," an exhibit about the fascinating world of movie special effects and animation. Here are some neat things I learned about Movie Magic while I worked in "Special Effects II."
